Prompt Styles
Set the creative direction before you type a single word. Prompt Styles let you choose from 32 curated design aesthetics, and the AI will follow that visual language when generating or editing your designs.

What are Prompt Styles?
Prompt Styles are carefully crafted design philosophy prompts that guide the AI's creative direction. Each style includes detailed instructions on typography choices, color palettes, spacing, visual effects, and overall aesthetic feel — from Art Deco's golden opulence to Glassmorphism's frosted translucency. When you select a style, it's automatically prepended to your message so the AI designs with that aesthetic in mind.
How to Use Prompt Styles
Selecting a Style:
- Click the paintbrush icon in the chat toolbar (next to the image upload button)
- Browse the grid of 32 styles — each with a visual preview showing its color scheme and typography
- Use the light/dark filter (sun and moon icons) to narrow by mode
- Use the type filter (T dropdown) to filter by serif, sans-serif, or mono
- Click any style to select it — the picker closes and the style is applied
The Style Card:
Once you select a style, a card appears inside the prompt area showing the style name and its full design philosophy. You can scroll within the card to read the complete prompt. Below the card, type your own instructions — describe what you want to create, and the AI will build it following the selected aesthetic.

Removing a Style:
To remove the active style, click the ✕ button on the style card, or open the picker again and click the currently selected style to deselect it.
Works for Both Generation and Editing:
Prompt Styles work everywhere in the chat — whether you're creating a brand-new component from scratch or editing an existing one. Select a style, then ask the AI to "make this more modern" or "redesign the hero section" and the style will guide the output.
Prompt Styles vs Themes
Prompt Styles and Themes are complementary features that work at different levels. Understanding when to use each — or both together — will help you get the most out of MagicPath.
| Prompt Styles | Themes | |
|---|---|---|
| What it does | Guides creative direction through a design philosophy prompt | Applies specific CSS values — colors, fonts, spacing, effects |
| How it works | Prepends instructions to your message so the AI understands the aesthetic | Injects actual CSS variables and tokens the AI uses as constraints |
| Customizable | 32 pre-built styles to choose from | Fully customizable — create your own from scratch, import from Figma, or from any URL |
| Best for | Exploring aesthetics, rapid prototyping, creative exploration | Brand consistency, production-ready designs, team standards |
| Scope | Per-message — select, send, done | Persistent — applies to all generations until changed |
Pro tip: Use them together
Prompt Styles and Themes can be combined. For example, apply your brand's custom Theme (with your exact colors and fonts) and then select the "Glassmorphism" Prompt Style to generate a frosted-glass login card that still uses your brand's color palette. The Theme provides the precise design tokens while the Prompt Style sets the creative direction.
