Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about MagicPath.

What technologies does MagicPath use?

MagicPath generates React code using modern web technologies including React 19, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. Whether you're creating a simple button or a complete landing page, all code is production-ready and follows best practices.

How many designs can I create?

Free users get a limited number of credits to try the platform. Pro subscribers get generous monthly credit allowances that reset each month. Credits are used when generating or significantly modifying designs with AI.

How do credits work?

Credits are now based on the complexity of your task. Each credit costs $0.05 (yearly plans have discounts). This means a simple button might use fewer credits than a full dashboard with multiple components.

We changed to complexity-based pricing because customers pointed out that creating a full dashboard with multiple files would cost the same as a simple card component under the old system. Now, your credits match the actual work being done.

The system is based on token usage (which translates into credits), with a minimum cost of $0.25 per generation to maintain platform sustainability. This prevents abuse while keeping costs very reasonable for legitimate use.

Note: All existing customers were automatically grandfathered onto our most generous plan at no extra cost when we made this change.

Can I use the generated code commercially?

Yes! All code generated by MagicPath is yours to use in any project, including commercial ones. You own the rights to everything you create - from individual components to complete applications.

What frameworks are supported?

Currently, MagicPath generates React code optimized for Next.js. Whether you're building components or full pages, the code uses standard React patterns and can be adapted for other React frameworks with minimal changes.

Can I import my existing designs?

While you can't directly import code, you can describe your existing component or page, or provide a screenshot, and MagicPath will recreate it. This works for anything from simple components to complete landing pages. You can then refine it through conversation.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period, and you'll retain access to all your projects.

Where can I find my invoices?

To access your invoice history, click on your name in the main sidebar, then go to Settings → Plans and Billing → Manage Plans. In the Stripe billing portal at the bottom of that page, you'll be able to view and download your complete invoice history.

Is my data secure?

Yes. We take security seriously. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We never train our AI models on your private projects. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Can I collaborate with my team?

Absolutely! You can invite team members to projects with different permission levels (Viewer, Editor, or Owner). Pro subscribers can also create shared component libraries.

Figma Connect

What is Figma Connect?

Figma Connect lets you import your Figma designs directly into MagicPath. Just copy a frame from Figma and paste it into MagicPath — your design is converted into working code with pixel-perfect accuracy, preserving images, typography, colors, and layout.

How do I copy from Figma?

Select any frame or component in Figma and press ⌘L (Mac) or Ctrl+L (Windows). In the desktop app, this copies the link directly. In the web app, copy the link from the address bar or right-click and select "Copy/Paste as" → "Copy link to selection".

How many Figma imports do I get?

Import limits vary by plan: Free users get 5 imports per month, Creator users get 25 imports per month, and Pro users have unlimited imports.

What gets preserved when I import?

MagicPath preserves images, icons, typography (Google Fonts are exact, custom fonts get the closest match), colors, gradients, layout, spacing, and effects like shadows and blurs. You can always edit anything after import.

Do I need to install a Figma plugin?

No! Figma Connect works without any plugins. Just connect your Figma account to MagicPath once, then copy and paste your designs. No MCP, no complex setup.

Why isn't my Figma import working?

Make sure you've connected your Figma account in MagicPath (via the Import from Figma button or Settings). Also check that you're copying the Figma link correctly — use ⌘L / Ctrl+L, not regular copy. For best results, keep your Figma files organized with clean layer names.
